OK whiffer fans. Here is your chance. Subject needs to be an actual type flown by the US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, or US Marines (OK, Coasties too) from 1946 until today.
Aircraft MUST be marked in exactly the same fashion that Yellow Wings planes were marked in the late 1920s and into the mid 1930s. Air Force/Army planes must have the 'flag' rudder markings, USMC planes must have the tri-color rudders, and USN types must have applicable codes, fuselage bands, cowling markings, and so on. For USN types, these bands and colors need to match the fuselage code. Do your research. Tail colors can be different on USN planes from the 'standard' as there were more carriers out there. Since large unit badges were prominent on these planes, this must be included as well.
In addition to the usual info supplied when entering a subject, so must be the unit with which the aircraft is attached. Does not have to be a pre-war squadron, but must be a unit that actually existed.
Be sure to comply with the general rules.
If you have any questions, post them on the -Forum-. Please do not send me questions via e-mail as I'll just refer you to the forum.
NEW Those entries without the full name of the entrant will no longer be posted.
As with all other contests, if there are doubts and no one can answer your questions, I'll include it, but if I get any e-mails that show it is ineligible, I'll pull it. I will not pull a model after judging has started.
