1/35 German Ambulance Truck

Barcode: 0 89195 86790 2
Case Pack: 20
Box Size: 9.6" x 15" x 3.1"

A new German medical vehicle has joined the ranks of Dragon's much loved 39-45 series. The new kit represents a 4x2 ambulance based on the famous German 3-ton truck range, which was used for myriad purposes by German soldiers during WWII. Indeed, underscoring its importance, by 1944 some 70,000 4x2 trucks had been produced, along with at least 25,000 additional 4x4 trucks. The ambulance version featured a box body installed behind the standard cab to carry lying or seated casualties for medical evacuation. This new Ambulance Truck shares the highly accurate cab and chassis of Dragons existing 1/35 kit of the German 4x2 cargo truck. Likewise, the rear ambulance body is borrowed from the Maultier Ambulance kit. It includes a delicate access ladder on the rear, while the rear door opens to reveal an outfitted ambulance interior. New parts added to the mix are stowage boxes located under the box body. This stunning 1/35 scale kit fully lives up to the latest contemporary standards. Furthermore, the widely used German ambulance can be depicted in any theater and time period of WWII, giving modelers unlimited options for painting and weathering.

About This Release

3rd 1/6 model kit Release from Dragon Models!

The third item in the new 1/6 scale model kit range is a Kübelwagen, the diminutive but practical German car that operated in every theater of combat. This utility vehicle is a famous icon of WWII and modelers will have no trouble in conjuring up paint schemes and scenarios for it. Going into mass production in February 1940, the four-door Kübelwagen Type 82 was 300kg lighter than the American Jeep (despite being more than a foot longer). When Volkswagen ceased production at the close of WWII, a total of more than 50,000 had been built for the German armed forces.
No detail has been spared on this amazing Kübelwagen, with many moving parts incorporated into the design. Each of the four doors can open, and when closed they can even be locked. Furthermore, the Kübelwagen incorporates a working steering mechanism! This is not a toy, however, for the vehicle is fully and lovingly detailed inside and out. The interior features such elements as floor slats and a detailed dashboard. Modelers are often blown away by the amount of detail that Dragon can incorporate in a 1/35 scale model, but what can be done in 1/6 scale has to be seen to be believed! Dragon proudly presents the Kübelwagen…

1/72 Jagdtiger Henschel Type

Barcode: 0 89195 87563 1
Case Pack: 48
Box Size: 6.4" x 10.2" x 1.9"

Dragon new addition to the 1/72 product lines is a Jagdtiger of Henschel Production type. The Jagdtiger was an armored monstrosity produced by Germany. Indeed, it was the heaviest armored fighting vehicle to serve during WWII. Weighing in at 71.7 tonnes, the Sd.Kfz.186 was a tank destroyer armed with an extremely potent 12.8cm PaK 44 L/55 antitank gun. A total of 88 vehicles were produced from late 1944 through to the cessation of hostilities. However, despite the effectiveness of its thick armor (250mm on the superstructure front) and powerful armament, the vehicle suffered from poor mobility and mechanical unreliability owing to its weight problem.

1/72 Panzerkampfwagen T-34/85

Barcode: 0 89195 87564 8
Case Pack: 48
Box Size: 6.4" x 10.2" x 1.5"

When the German armed forces first encountered the Russian T-34 with its 76mm gun and well-sloped armor, they were shocked by its superior qualities. Germany countered with its technologically advanced Panther tank. Correspondingly, in the race to produce better and more powerful tanks, the Russians introduced its T-35/85 model, boasting a larger turret that accommodated an 85mm main gun. Due to shortages in their own armored units, the hard-pressed Germans often adopted captured Russian tanks into their ranks. New kit #7564 portrays such a T-34/85 in service with German tank unit.
