NOTES:

This is published in the usual landscape format on very good, high quality gloss paper. It has 38 pages crammed full of photographs in full colour.

It has 94 colour photographs with English text to accompany them.

Unlike the single aircraft subjects this is devoted to nearly all the types that have flown with the Israeli Airforce in it’s short history.

For me as a none aircraft modeller it is fascinating to see so many diverse types and nationalities that flew for them. It covers the following aircraft, Wrona, Boeing Stearman PT -17, Piper Cub, Republic RC -8 Seabee , Dornier DO 28B-1, Dornier do -27, Britten Norman BN-2A, Nord N2501, Cesna U206, TBM 3 Avenger, Then WW2 Veterans, Fist Jets, French Jets,

All the photographs are taken at the IAF Museum at Hatzerim in Israel.

As the title states this is part one I wonder what other surprises the second part will divulge.

Any model maker and researcher who wishes to build or research into the Israeli Aircraft will find this book invaluable. It charts not only the aircraft but also the camouflage and markings and colours and shows how the hot sun fades them.

It is one of those books, which will be well loved and used by Israeli aircraft model makers time and time again.

It rightly deserves a place on the reference shelf of aircraft model makers.

Once more the authors are to be congratulated on the choice of subject and presentation.
