Comments:

I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first. This is an old kit with raised

panel lines, and an almost complete lack of internal detail. That having

been said the ole' Lindberg Komet is a pleasure to build! Parts molding is

crisp, and the fit is absolutely PERFECT! I did only slight modification

to the kit, cutting out the rear windows and filling them in with Testors

clear parts maker. (good stuff, BTW). I also added some rudimentary cockpit

detail; instrument panel and cockpit floor from sheet styrene and a stick

from the spare parts box. I also added some photo etched seatbelts and made

the forward clear armor from vacuform canopy scrap. I painted this

"'Komet" to match the box art and used the Lindberg decals. They were

pretty thick, but solvaset works wonders. All in all, an enjoyable few

hours and not a bad looking little airplane at all.
