This next DVD from Compendium Films is on Terrain Modeling and is presented by Richard Windrow, a well known armor and diorama modeler in the UK. He has also authored several books including a similarly titled volume for Osprey.

This DVD takes a look at two of his dioramas; a woodland scene and a WWII town scene with lots of rubble. Both of these dioramas are featured in his book, but in this case, we are given the opportunity to see exactly how these masterpieces were created.

I don't know about you, but I always seem to get more from something if I am shown how to do it rather than just reading about it. Each of the various steps is shown in detail along with the tools and materials used to get the various effects. I have to say that I found the presentation to be riveting and quite an experience.

I'm sure you will as well. Even if you already have his book, you'll find that this makes an excellent companion to it and that it does superbly well on its own.

As one who has often been mystified as to 'how do they do it?', I found this an outstanding production and I do believe you will agree.
