Notes: CD-ROM, Catalogue # 1040

This latest CD from Aero Research continues with their fine series on past USAF aircraft. Many of us think that you cannot have too many F-4 images and so we now have #6. Surprisingly, there are still places where the Phantom II is still in active military service, only proving that something good will last. At least a while longer.

As with the previous CDs these are mostly ramp shots with a few in flight images sprinkled in from time to time. There are also a few dupes, but these are some of the more interesting images and better to have them as not. The majority of the images are very well done and are sourced from a variety of photographers. Many of the units that flew the Phantom in USAF

There are 160 large images on the disc with each entry having as much information known about the slide as was available, including serial, location and date. The disc is broken down by wing or group in numerical order. As usual, there are a lot of interesting schemes and quite a few ANG units as those are the ones who flew the plane more than anyone else. It is another great disc that the aviation enthusiast is sure to enjoy browsing.
