Notes: CD-ROM, Catalogue # 1041

This latest CD from Aero Research continues with their fine series on past USN aircraft. This one is on the venerable A-7 Corsair II, an aircraft that 'may' still be flying in Thailand and Greece as I think that Portugal has retired theirs.

As with the previous CDs these are mostly ramp shots with a few in flight images sprinkled in from time to time. The majority of the images are very well done and are sourced from a variety of photographers. Most of the units that flew the A-7 are documented in this one. Each entry has as much information known about the slide as was available, including serial, location and date. The disc is broken down by unit with the test units first, followed by the units in numeric order.

You will find all of the various camouflage schemes in this one with most of them being in light gull grey and white. You will also find a fair number of CAG birds as well as a few bicentennial schemes.

It all makes for an excellent disc that is sure to be much appreciated by the A-7 fan and those who remember the older days of colorful naval aircraft. As a note, I think the cover is mis-numbered and this should be 1041.
