Notes: Dutch and English, A4 format, card covers.

A most interesting publication that gives stories of both pilots and a good look at the aircraft they flew is Dutch Profile's 'Dutchies in de FAA', or Dutch pilots in the Fleet Air Arm to many of us. This book covers six pilots and the aircraft they flew while operating with the British during WWII.

Each pilot has a page dedicated to a background history of his training and flying career with some period photos of the pilot and his plane. Opposite that page is a full color three-view of the most important aircraft that he flew.

In addition, there are other profiles of some of the other aircraft flown by a few of the pilots in the book. Though not a long book, it is one that I know modelers will like, especially as many of the aircraft presented herein have been covered on decal sheets produced from the information in this book and reviewed elsewhere on this site. A fine publication on a little-known aspect of WWII and one I know you will enjoy.
