According to the inside of the front cover, this is an updated reprint of Volume 2 on the FW-190. Not having the older edition, I cannot tell you what exactly has been altered or not. One thing I can tell you is that the decal sheet that comes with these books no longer has a separate holder in the front cover for them. I can imagine that it was more cost effective just to leave it out and put the decals in there loose. Those of us who don't want to worry about having the decals drop out of the book can hold them in place with a piece of low tack tape.

Volume II concentrates on the operational history of the aircraft. It starts, as do all Kagero books, with a nice story of one particular mission, this time it is one flown the day after the Normandy invasion. From there it goes into the initial operational use of the FW-190A-1 in August of 1941 and continues through the various theaters of operation until the last days of the war with the FW-190D-9s. There are excellent photographs of planes and pilots, several of which were new to me, which is always nice. In the back of the book are a few pages taken from the pages of technical manuals that show various systems in the aircraft. The last 8 pages are color profiles and three-views. There are no drawings in this volume, those as well as the variant differences being used in Volume One.

There is a decal sheet included that contains the unique markings for seven different aircraft, all A model 190s during various stages of the war. These are keyed in the various profiles. They are provided in 1/32, 1/48 and 1/72 scale. Techmod has produced these decals so you know the quality is there.

Overall this is an excellent book on the operational history of what was one of the Luftwaffe's best aircraft. It is highly recommended to those who are looking for a good overall look at this aircraft and the decals are a bonus to modelers.
