Continuing with Stratus' Polish Wings series, this one is on some of the more widely used fighters, the PWS-10, BH-33 (called the PWS-A in Polish Service) and the PZL-7. As with other early Stratus books, this one is entirely in Polish. It is also chock full of superlative images and brilliantly done profiles. It is the photos and profiles that make this and others in this series so interesting. The quality of the images, especially when one considers that these are from the 1920s and early 1930s, is first rate and many show considerable detail.

Despite the language barrier, this is an outstanding book and is well worth the investment on the strength of the photos and color profiles alone. In addition to the profiles and photos, there are a  superb set of plans of all three aircraft. The book also contains a brief history of each aircraft and its eventual fate. There are also a few airframe diagrams and cockpit drawings that will be quite useful for the modeler.

Overall, an excellent book about aircraft types that one rarely hears about and even more rarely sees modeled.

My thanks to Stratus for the review copy. Ask your book seller to get this one for you.
