Continuing with Stratus' Polish Wings series, this one is on some of the more widely used fighters, the PWS-10, BH-33 (called the PWS-A in Polish Service) and the PZL-7. This is one of their earlier books that has been reissued in English. It is also chock full of superlative images and brilliantly done profiles. It is the photos and profiles that make this and others in this series so interesting. The quality of the images, especially when one considers that these are from the 1920s and early 1930s, is first rate and many show considerable detail.

Even if the reader may not be be a real fan of PAF aircraft, this one is an outstanding book and is well worth the investment on the strength of the photos and color profiles alone. It is the sort of book that inspires one to start looking for kits of the various aircraft, it is that good. The book also contains a brief history of each aircraft and its eventual fate. This edition has been expanded from its original 48 to 56 pages, adding new information on several of the aircraft, including the use of the PWS 10 during the Spanish Civil War.

Overall, an excellent book about aircraft types that one rarely hears about and even more rarely sees modeled.
