This next big scale sheet from AIMS is for the early Bf-110 in 1/32. There are but two manufacturer options for this kit. One is the old, but still nice Revell kit and the other is one of the various boxings by Dragon. . There are options for six aircraft on this sheet as well as data markings and insignia for one. Those who want to build more than one of these can glean additional insignia and such from the kit decals. The decals themselves are superbly printed by Catrograf.

All of these aircraft are in Geschwader Stab markings and covering a variety of schemes.

First up is a Bf-110C in prewar Geschwaderkommodore markings and flown by Obst. Huth, a WWI pilot. The markings are with ZG 76 in early 1940. Camouflage is RLM 70/71/65.

This same plane is shown next with a white nose and repainted in RLM 71/02/65 with a fuselage mottle. Same code and from around September 1940.

The third is one from the Balkans campaign and is either a C or E variant with I./ZG 76 in May 1941. It was flow by MaKrocki and has yellow rudders and yellow engine cowlings on its RLM 74/75/65 scheme. One thing about the aircraft shown is that none of the sub-variants are mentioned so the reader will have to do some additional research or not worry about things like that.

Next is Herbert Kaminski's plane with I./ZG 76 during June 1941. This Bf-110E is in RLM 74/75/76 and has a yellow fuselage band.

The all black Bf-110C is the gruppen adjutant's aircraft. This was Oblt. Kellenbeck who crashed this plane in May 1941 as a result of friendly fire.

Finally, the Bf-110E of Hptm. Wilhelm Spies in late 1941. This aircraft was in RLM 74/75/76 with a yellow fuselage band.

All of the markings options are provided with photo reference information so you can check it out yourself for additional information. A complete data placement guide is provided.

Most of us will not build more than one of these kits, so a sheet like this is a great way to build something a bit different. I have used AIMs decals before and they are superbly done.
