NOTES:

Also available in 1/48

Many are the times in my modeling life that I've wanted to do a scheme slightly different from what is offered in the kit. When it comes to WWII Japanese aircraft, this frequently means a change in the tail code. JNAF planes were generally identical in terms of camouflage as individuality was frequently frowned upon; the success of the unit being more important than the success of any single pilot.

Well, there have been no really useful decal sheets to allow the builder to make his own codes until now. Aviaeology has produced a series of sheets in both 1/72 and 1/48 in the colors used by the JNAF for tail markings.

This particular sheet is in red and you'll find this used more in the early days of the war with the ameiro colored planes as well as on pre-war aircraft. These are 280mm in height for each of the characters. The sheet is superbly printed and will come in very handy indeed.
