This sheet from Eagle Cals is for the Spitfire IIa and is in response to the release of the Revell kit. The markings are also available in 1/48 and 1/72 scales. Markings are provided for four airplanes, three of which are in the green/brown/sky scheme while the fourth is in what was the new green/grey/grey scheme. All are from the 1941 time period when the Spitfire was equipped with the VHF radio so I'm thinking that the long wire antenna may not have been used. Check photo references to be sure, though it is often difficult to see the long wires in period photos. The mast on the rudder was not always removed with the VHF radio installation, but its absence means no long wire.

First up is NK*K with 118 Squdron in April. It was named 'Just Jake'.

Next is 'Krysia', PK*K with 315 Squadron during the Summer of 1941. This one has a larger than usual red center to the fuselage insignia.

'Armagh' was with 19 Squadron and coded QV*J. It was operational in June of the year.

The final option is XR*D with 71 (Eagle) squadron. This is in the then new greys scheme but before yellow wing leading edge ID markings. This scheme offers optional fuselage codes as the real shade is in question.

The decals are printed by Cartograf so you know you are getting the best. Eagle Cals has superb instructions with full color placement guide and a bit of history on each plane.
