This
sheet from Fundekals is for the P-51D of Roscoe Brown Jr, the commanding officer
of the 100 FS/332 FG. Brown is one of only a dozen or so Allied pilots to shoot
down an Me-262, this coming in March of 1945. In line with other aircraft of the
unit, it was liberally painted with red which covers the entire tail section,
nose, spinner, wing tips as well as the gear doors and cowling vent. It also
carries the names 'Bunnie' and Miss Kentucky State on the nose. The yellow
wing bands will also need to be painted. Shrouded exhausts for this one.
The decal sheet includes all the unique markings with insigina and data markings needing to come from the kit sheet or another sources. This scheme is also available in 1/48 and 1/32 scale.
As with all their releases, the placement guide that comes with a short history and photos of the aircraft, is available on their website. One thing for sure, this will make for a most colorful model.
Thanks to Fundekals for the review sheet. You can find this and other products on their website.
