Once
again, a nice pair of P-47 markings options. This sheet is sized for the
Hasegawa or the Tamiya kits though I'm sure you could make them fit the
Otaki, Monogram or any other 1/48 Thunderbolt. Both aircraft are in
unpainted metal with OD anti-glare panels. Both have Invasion Stripes of
various sizes. An aluminum background decal is provided so you don't have
to worry about properly painting around it. Data markings and insignia are
provided for one aircraft.
First up is the P-47D-22 of Lt Russell Fredendall of the 507th FS. This razorback has a black cowl front and is named 'Joan' with the usual mass of mission markings!
The other is Robert Bealle's P-47D-28 named 'Black Panther' and with the appropriate artwork. This 506 FS aircraft is generally devoid of any of the bright colors one normally associates with late war USAAF aircraft.
