Modelshack 1/48 P-61 Cowlings and Engines

Still the only 1/48 Black Widow on the market, the Monogram kit is still quite buildable despite its age. It has good detailing and is not expensive. It is, however, not the easiest build in the world and this is especially true for those who wish to close up the open cowling.

Now there is no need to worry about that as Modelshack has produced a pair of resin replacements. The moldings are flaw-free and include two cowlings and two engine fronts. These are keyed so you can get them properly aligned. A complete set of instructions is included that has photos of parts and details on prepping the Monogram kit to accept these parts.

No one with this kit should be without these cowlings.
