This
set provides caissons for the standard Oerlikon AA guns that were used on USN
ships during WWII. In case you are wondering what a caisson is, it is basically
a box. In this case, an ammunition box. Who came up with this word? Well, in the
words of Capt Jack Sparrow "That would be the French". The set provides a
considerable number of these, all the same size and in case you hadn't noticed,
Lion Roar etched sets do not have those pesky fret attachment threads. The parts
are held between two sheets of slightly sticky plastic. One merely peels back a
bit, picks out the part and bends. Can't be much simpler and will add a lot to
your next USN ship build.
