Pavla has done a number of Spitfire kits and so it is not surprising that they would have a cockpit set available for the recent Airfix Spitfire IX. This one is a complete replacement for the kit parts and includes a nicely done vacuformed canopy. There are new sidewalls, a new 'tub', seats, bulkheads, stick, rudder pedals and compass amongst the smaller bits. It also includes a new cockpit entry door and  gunsight. The modeler will have to thin down the fuselage interior to accept the replacement sidewalls, but this will be quick work if you have a low speed motor tool.

As with all Pavla resin sets, this one is very well done and comes with a full set of instructions and a painting guide.
