The latest set
of seats is a pair of Escapac IE-1 seats as one commonly found in the S-3A/B
Viking. As one who has spent considerable time crawling around on one of these
while repairing various bits and pieces on the aircraft, I can tell you that
they got the look of these seats just right. that includes the pieces above the
seat that are designed to smash through the canopy during ejection.
Unfortunately, being banged about in a plastic bag has caused one of these to be
broken, but repair should be rather straight forward. The belts are molded in
place and so all one has to do is remove the pour stub, paint and install.
