NOTES:

The latest addition of Random Thoughts has arrived and once again, it is a great read. As usual, it arrived just before the start of the next season so the days of being fairly late are well behind them. This edition provides the usual great articles and to handle it all, additional pages have been added.

The initial article is by Richard Guetig who builds the Tamiya 1/35 Panzer 38(t) light tank. This was one of several tanks taken over by Germany when they overran Czechoslovakia. While still viable at the start of the war, as it progressed, it became more and more vulnerable. Surprisingly, this is a straight out of the box build, but Richard has done a superb job of it.

Next is the main cover image article, a Hurricane XII. Massimo Santarossa used the Airfix 1/72 kit along with a lot of aftermarket and some kit modification to build this interesting scheme.

The third is Glenn Cauley's Mikro Mir 1/35 Kaiten II, which was a Japanese manned suicide torpedo. If you have ever built a Mikro Mir kit, you know that you have to put in a lot of effort to get good results and Glenn certainly achieved that with this one.

The fourth kit build is a Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1D conversion from the Macross series. Peter Shanley converts this two seater into the VR-1D photo recon version. Peter also has the next article which is on the various box art of aircraft/spacecraft in the Macross universe, all of which were produced by Hasegawa over the years.

Finally a very nice DH.88 by Norm Sheppard. Norm used the KoPro kit to add to his collection of these sleek racing aircraft.

Another fine edition and one I look forward to every quarter. So, you are wondering, just how do I get this great club magazine and the cool decal sheet. Well, it is simple. Just trade boring money for full color magazines. IPMS Canada is a great group of people so you will be in very good company. Can't get much better than that.

But wait, there is more. If you join, you also get the electronic Beaver Tales delivered straight to your computer, and you can get the periodic decal sheets that are only provided to members.
